Operational scope covered the parent organization and eight child organizations, with explicit tasks to separate legal entities and ledgers and to extract AP, GL, PO, and INV data sets to be provided to divested entities. The program included decommissioning interfaces and reworking integrations so that interfaces no longer required by the divested operating units could be retired while core financial feeds remained intact for continuing entities. An Ascena Oracle Functional Architect led impact analysis and the technical design to implement ledger separation, operating unit segregation, and data extraction processes. Governance and rollout work emphasized changes to parent and child organization structures within Oracle Cloud ERP and required coordinated technical development to maintain transactional integrity during legal entity separation.

Governance practices were formalized in weekly calibration calls, escalation rules to Tier 2 and HRBPs, and documented case handling procedures for background related inquiries, employment verifications, and audit requests. Sterling Background Check is used to support compliance, onboarding verification, talent acquisition processing, and related HR administrative functions such as I 9 follow up and employment documentation retrieval. The deployment emphasized integration with Workday, centralized background check administration within Associate Services, and formal escalation and documentation processes to maintain consistent hiring and compliance operations across Ascena.
