Comcast Business Legacy Comcast Business SecurityEdge Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) CyberSecurity n/a 2023 2023
In 2023 MailBox Express in Thornton, Colorado deployed Comcast Business SecurityEdge as an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution to secure customer and employee devices and to support customer-service operations at its retail shipping location. The deployment was targeted at the small, two-person store site and explicitly aligned the Comcast Business SecurityEdge application to day-to-day customer interactions and device protection requirements. Comcast Business SecurityEdge was provisioned alongside Comcast Business Internet, Connection Pro and Voice Mobility, with 4G LTE backup to ensure continuity of connectivity. The implementation delivered gateway-level protection and generated activity reports, providing a centralized EDR control point at the network edge and visibility into device and network activity for store operators. Operational coverage focused on the Thornton retail site and its customer-service workflows, with the SecurityEdge application supporting device security for both customer-facing terminals and employee endpoints. Governance centered on gateway configuration and report consumption to monitor activity, and the combination of SecurityEdge with Internet and 4G LTE backup was designed to maintain service continuity while enforcing perimeter-level EDR controls for the store.
