In 2010, Mallcom India implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform, deploying Oracle Apps R12 to address accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for the 800 employee manufacturing business. The initiative centered on Oracle E-Business Suite with a primary focus on the AP and AR Module, and implementation services were delivered by CSA Consultants.
The implementation configured core AP and AR functional capabilities within Oracle Apps R12, including supplier master data controls, invoice capture and validation, payment processing and scheduling in accounts payable, and customer billing, receipts processing and credit management in accounts receivable. Configuration work aligned subledger accounting flows into the Oracle E-Business Suite financial fabric, leveraging standard R12 financial controls and reporting constructs to support month end and transaction level accounting.
CSA Consultants led a finance-centric rollout across Mallcom India with governance anchored in the corporate finance organization, establishing process owners, change control checkpoints and phased cutover sequencing that prioritized stabilization of payables before broadening AR operations. In 2010, Mallcom India began deploying Oracle Enterprise Asset Management to capture machine level utilization and establish service schedules across its manufacturing operations. Mallcom implemented Oracle Enterprise Asset Management in the Enterprise Asset Management category to gain visibility into roughly 500 stitching machines and to determine when equipment needs servicing.
The implementation centered on an asset registry and maintenance management configuration, including work order processing, preventive maintenance scheduling, and utilization reporting. Oracle Enterprise Asset Management was configured to record machine status, track production counts at the asset level, and surface units that are idle or underutilized, enabling operational teams to prioritize service and replacement activities.
CSA Consultants led the technical implementation and configured asset lifecycle workflows for the manufacturing and maintenance functions. Operational scope focused on shop floor equipment management and maintenance operations, with configuration work aimed at aligning asset records to physical serials and maintenance histories so production planning and maintenance teams share a common source of truth.
Governance changes included establishing a single asset master and formalizing maintenance workflows and ownership to ensure accurate recording of service events and utilization. Mallcom expected Oracle Enterprise Asset Management to reveal which machines were underutilized, how many units each machine was producing, and when each machine required servicing, so equipment could be put to better use and last longer.
