The implementation was framed as part of an organisational transformation strategy, with IBM responsible for ongoing application management and operational governance, centralized administration and platform stability. Manappuram Finance continued to develop complementary customer facing platforms, including an online payment portal, to enhance operational ease and transparency for customers.

The implementation was governed through ITIL V3 aligned practices, covering Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement, and included monthly project performance reviews with senior management. Activities included employee training and instruction on support and quality standards, vendor interfacing for hardware and software resolution, and development of management consulting collateral to support organizational maturity and macro level capacity planning. IBM Maximo was thereby embedded as the Enterprise Asset Management solution supporting Manappuram Finance IT Service Management and operational governance.
