In 2014 Manitou Investment Management implemented APX and Moxy as part of its SS&C Advent platform and later added SS&C Advent Custodial Data together with Advent TransPort to automate custodial feed handling. Manitou uses SS&C Advent Custodial Data for Financial Consolidation and Close processes to ingest daily custodial feeds and accelerate reconciliation for approximately 1,500 custody accounts, focused in the finance function in Toronto, Canada.
SS&C Advent Custodial Data was configured to receive and normalize daily custodial feeds and to operate with Advent TransPort for custodial data customization and routing. The implementation leverages APX for portfolio accounting and Moxy for trade and order management workflows inside the Advent suite, with automation layered around custodial mapping, record matching, and reconciliation staging. Operational coverage centered on the finance team responsible for daily reconciliation across the firm’s custodial accounts, with Advent TransPort providing configurable feed transformation to reduce bespoke engineering. Governance shifted custodial feed ownership into the SS&C Advent platform and formalized automated reconciliation workflows within the finance operating model. The vendor case study documents that adding Advent Custodial Data and Advent TransPort reduced daily reconciliation time to under ten minutes.
