In 2025, Maple Mutual Insurance deployed Solera Paws formerly Audatex Paws to modernize its Insurance Claims Management workflows and move the Ontario mutual from paper and email claim handling to a digital, unified claims workflow. The implementation centers on Qapter Claims Manager and Qapter Estimating, AI-assisted modules that generate repair estimates from vehicle damage photos and electronically route auto claims to internal staff, network body shops, and independent appraisers through a single integrated platform.
Qapter Claims Manager was configured as the central claims portal, enabling a dedicated claims team to review, correct, and approve estimates within one application. Qapter Estimating provides AI-supported valuations that complement human adjuster expertise, allowing technicians and adjusters to make estimate corrections directly at their desks and reduce time spent reconciling emailed estimate attachments.
The implementation includes integration with Solera Autosource for total loss vehicle valuations, leveraging a market-driven vehicle database to produce locally sensitive valuations for faster settlement decisions. Operational coverage explicitly spans Maple Mutuals auto claims function, its internal claims staff, contracted network repair shops, and independent appraisers in Ontario, consolidating previously fragmented touchpoints into an electronic dispatch, review, and approval process.
Governance changes center on centralized workflow ownership within a dedicated team, standardized electronic dispatch and review procedures, and tighter shop to carrier communication channels. The deployment is positioned to reduce administrative expenses and rental costs, shorten cycle times, and improve the reliability of shop communications, as Maple Mutual and Solera aim to enhance the end to end claims experience while preserving human oversight of AI-generated estimates.
