In 2015, Mayne Publications implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP in the ERP Financial category to unify financials, subscription and advertising operations for the Australian trade publisher of eight print and digital magazines. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment targeted greater business control and efficiency across publishing, circulation, advertising sales and finance.
Absolute Vision Technologies customized the solution using SuiteCloud capabilities to automate subscription management, configure billing automation with auto-reconciliation to source transactions, and instrument lead-to-order-to-cash workflows. Customizations also included print magazine distribution controls to support direct subscribers and news agencies, and tailored records structures to consolidate advertiser and subscriber customer types into a single customer master.
Three isolated systems, Salesforce for advertiser CRM, CRM Australia for subscription management and MYOB for financials, created duplicate data and manual handoffs prior to this program; AVT combined Mayne's advertiser and subscriber records into NetSuite and consolidated customers and transactions to reduce duplicate mailing, double handling and customer complaints. The unified NetSuite implementation centralized mailing and distribution processes and aligned transaction records across advertising, subscriptions and finance.
Governance and operational changes emphasized a single source of truth for management information and decision making, with Absolute Vision Technologies acting as the NetSuite Solution Provider partner to tune workflows and accelerate time to value. Within six months Mayne reported estimated savings of 250 employee hours and a 30% reduction in system cost per year, billing processes running with 100% accuracy through auto-reconciliation, and improved visibility across the full business spectrum via Oracle NetSuite ERP in the ERP Financial category.

In 2015, Mayne Publications implemented Oracle NetSuite CRM. The CRM deployment consolidated subscription management, advertiser CRM, billing and financial reporting into a single cloud platform under the CRM category, providing a unified operational backbone for the publisher of eight print and digital trade magazines and more than 70,000 subscribers in Australia.
The implementation leveraged NetSuite core CRM and ERP capabilities together with SuiteCloud Development Platform extensibility, with customizations delivered by NetSuite Solution Provider Absolute Vision Technologies, AVT. AVT implemented tailored subscription management automation, orchestration of lead-to-order-to-cash workflows, and automated billing reconciliation, configuring Oracle NetSuite CRM to reflect the publisher’s recurring revenue and print distribution requirements.
As part of the program Mayne consolidated customer records and transactional data that had been split across Salesforce for advertisers and CRM Australia for subscriptions, bringing advertiser and subscriber data into Oracle NetSuite CRM as a single customer master. The unified data model supported consolidated mailing and distribution processes, and additional custom logic was added to manage print magazine distribution to direct subscribers and news agencies across thousands of bi-monthly issues.
Governance and process changes focused on workflow automation and reconciliation, with auto-reconciliation of source transactions enabling a previously complex billing process to run with full accuracy and reliability. Lead-to-order-to-cash visibility was instituted to give commercial teams pipeline transparency and to accelerate collections, while management reporting and dashboards in NetSuite provided higher level visibility across business segments.
Within six months of the switchover Mayne reported realized cost savings and productivity gains explicitly tied to the unified Oracle NetSuite CRM environment, including an estimated savings of 250 employee hours and a 30% reduction in system cost every year. The implementation produced improved customer satisfaction through reduced duplicate mailings and double handling, and delivered reliable, automated billing for the publisher’s subscription and advertising workflows.
