Configuration work included rules-based payment matching and exception handling to reduce manual allocation work, and the full application name BlackLine Cash Application was used to unify cash application processing with month end close activities.
Integrations were explicitly implemented with the firm financial system Sage to synchronize ledger accounts and to support intercompany billing across domestic and international offices. Operational coverage included accounting and finance teams responsible for project revenues, balance sheet reconciliations, and daily financial position reporting, with the BlackLine Cash Application feeding reconciled cash positions into established reporting and journal entry workflows.

Governance for the programme included creation of the business case, conduction of the RFP, leading Implementation Partner vendor selection, and executive sponsorship from People Systems leadership. Change management responsibilities were formalized, the calendar of large scale People processes was centralized, and ongoing consultation with People leaders was institutionalized to sustain Workday HCM as the Core HR system.
