The configuration maintained estate level autonomy so each garden operated as a business unit while synchronizing transactions and master data to a consolidated central database. This centralized item master and distributed transaction model reduced previously siloed item lists and enabled intra-estate stock transfers.
The solution was deployed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, an LS Retail partner in India and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, who installed LS Nav across all estates and established the central data bank at head office. Operational coverage included remote gardens in north east India, Vietnam and Africa, where intermittent connectivity required the offline synchronization pattern. Integration focused on seamless transmission of transactional and payroll data between estate sites and head office for consolidated reporting.
Business functions impacted included inventory management, procure to pay, payroll processing for circa 2,500 workers per garden, factory operations and financial consolidation.
