In 2022 Medicarrier procured and implemented Optimizely PIM to underpin a new e-commerce and product catalogue solution for Region Stockholm. Optimizely PIM, categorized as Product Information Management, was adopted to centralize product data and to improve self-service and product findability across roughly 15,000 items.
The implementation was delivered by HiQ International in collaboration with SQLI Nordics following the 2022 procurement, with the solution rolled out in 2023. Deployment focused on establishing Optimizely PIM as the central product data repository, implementing catalog publishing workflows, taxonomy and attribute consolidation, and e-commerce merchandising support to align procurement and supply operations.
Architecturally the Optimizely PIM instance was integrated with Optimizely Customized Commerce to create a single product catalogue feeding the commerce layer, enabling synchronized product content and catalog updates between PIM and storefront. Operational scope explicitly targeted procurement and supply operations for Region Stockholm, with governance centered on centralized product data ownership and editorial workflows to improve product findability and self-service ordering.
Medicarrier Optimizely PIM, as a Product Information Management deployment, served to unify product information for procurement, supply chain and e-commerce teams, and to standardize catalog management processes across the Region Stockholm solution stack.
