In 2016, Mediclim implemented BITSoftware SocrateERP, an ERP Financial application, to standardize core operations for its distribution business in Romania. The deployment foregrounded the full BITSoftware SocrateERP suite and explicitly included economic and financials, service and incident management, and BI modules as the primary functional components.
The implementation also delivered several bespoke modules for quoting, stock reservation and contract management, which were developed to support Mediclim’s transition from a family business to a €10M distributor. BITSoftware SocrateERP was configured to centralize finance, sales and service processes and to embed tailored distribution workflows for order commitment and contract lifecycle handling.
Operational coverage spanned finance, sales and service functions with the BI module providing consolidated reporting across those domains. The bespoke quoting, stock reservation and contract management modules were integrated within the SocrateERP application layer to align sales commitments with inventory controls and to formalize contract administration across commercial and operations teams.
Governance and process changes emphasized centralized transaction processing and consistent record keeping across finance, sales and service, enabling tighter coordination between commercial quoting and warehouse reservation activities. The implementation narrative for Mediclim centers on BITSoftware SocrateERP as the ERP Financial backbone augmented by vendor-stated modules and tailored distribution extensions to support scaled distributor operations.
