In 2008, Meritum Bank Icb contracted Asseco Poland to implement Asseco CBS (Core Banking System). The engagement identified Asseco Business Solutions as the SI/VAR and involved the Asseco Group as vendor, establishing Asseco CBS as the bank's core banking application for finance and retail operations.
The implementation in Poland covered Asseco CBS modules for core banking, general ledger, cards and treasury, and was configured to support retail and SME product sets. Module usage was confirmed in the Asseco case study, with configuration focused on finance-led processing, card lifecycle support and treasury workflows to accelerate product rollout.
Deployment culminated in a production start after a weekend migration in mid-2009, reflecting a cutover-oriented rollout approach. Delivery and technical ownership were handled by Asseco Poland, with Asseco Business Solutions participating in implementation activities, emphasizing centralized application deployment and operational handover.
Operational scope included the bank finance function along with retail, SME and cards operations, enabling stated channel expansion and faster product launches. Governance concentrated on module-level configuration for accounting, card processing and treasury, with Asseco CBS (Core Banking System) serving as the integrated platform for these business functions.
