| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Metricon implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform to connect contract progress tracking with finance processes for customer billing and supplier payments. The deployment targeted Metricon Homes at a national level, engaging interstate process owners to define consolidated TO BE workflows and align project delivery and finance teams around a single operational model.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to support contract progress tracking integrated into core financial ledgers, customer billing, and supplier payment processes. Functional scope included data mapping and integration activities between the contract management surface and the finance ERP, creation and execution of functional test scripts, and iterative testing of data migration cycles to validate transactional integrity.
Integrations were executed to move progress data into the finance engine for invoices and supplier settlements, with documented data migration cycles and defect management tracked in Azure DevOps. Operational coverage spanned finance, project delivery, procurement and product owner governance, with the Business Analyst acting as the single point of contact for communications, product reviews, defects and scope changes.
Governance and process redesign included documenting state based AS IS workflows and designing national TO BE workflows with efficiency improvements, implementing an operating rhythm for authoring user stories with testable acceptance criteria and a definition of done, and producing user training materials to support change management. Quality assurance practices used Azure DevOps for test case management, defect capture and traceability of acceptance criteria through delivery.
Explicit outcomes recorded during the implementation included a redesigned workflow that reduced contract duration by 15 percent and re engineered flows that reduced wait times between work items through dashboards and SMS notifications. Process and delivery changes also reduced test cycles, increased sprint velocity by 5 percent, and shortened time for business signoff on delivered solutions by 20 percent.

Operational coverage concentrated on HR, People Advisory, talent management and employee relations functions, aligning system workflows with the existing HR business partnering model described in the organisation. Ascender Preceda was positioned as the system of record for employee data and for standardising HR processes used by managers and HR advisors across multiple business units.
Governance and rollout were structured around embedding policy creation, coaching and project management processes into Ascender Preceda workflows, with configuration to reflect Australian legislative and industrial relations frameworks. The deployment supported manager self service and standardized case handling to operationalize consistent HR advice and workforce administration through Ascender Preceda.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Metricon implemented IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management to centralize Asset Performance Management across its construction and real estate operations. The initial deployment aimed to establish a single asset registry and a governed integration point for maintenance and project workflows.
The IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management implementation included configuration and custom development inside Maximo to support asset lifecycle governance, work order orchestration, condition monitoring and preventive maintenance scheduling, capabilities typical of Asset Performance Management platforms. Custom changes were applied to Maximo modules and the integration framework to align system behavior with Metricon operational rules and construction asset models.
Integration was a primary scope item, Metricon integrated IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management with an upgraded Oracle ERP and a project planning system, which required coordinated custom changes in the upgraded Oracle ERP, the Maximo Asset Management system and the integration framework. The integration work covered data mapping for asset master records, work order exchange and financial accounting handoffs to Oracle ERP, along with schedule synchronization with the project planning system to support project driven asset updates.
Governance emphasized controlled change management and staged integration testing to validate interfaces and limit disruption to construction operations. The rollout delivered the IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management implementation in time and on budget with near perfect results, establishing Metricon IBM Maximo Asset Performance Management as the primary Asset Performance Management solution supporting asset management and project integration functions.
