Connexin Software Legacy Office Practicum Medical Practice Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Metro Pediatrics invested in Office Practicum from Connexin Software to deploy a pediatric EHR and to outsource revenue-cycle management for a large Medicaid patient population and planned growth in Birmingham, Alabama. The implementation used Office Practicum as the primary Medical Practice Management platform, configured for scheduling, clinical documentation, and OP RCM revenue-cycle workflows covering front office scheduling, clinical staff documentation, and centralized billing functions for the single-site pediatric practice. Modules and capabilities implemented included the pediatric electronic health record, practice scheduling with recall driven workflows, and Office Practicum RCM services for claims processing and payment posting. After implementation Metro Pediatrics reported a 14% increase in payment per visit and a 24% increase in charges attributed to recall driven scheduling, and the practice attained NCQA PCMH certification with the case study explicitly citing use of OP RCM. Governance shifted billing operational ownership to Office Practicum RCM and integrated recall scheduling into clinical workflows to improve revenue capture, illustrating how Office Practicum was used to centralize Medical Practice Management and revenue operations for a small pediatric practice.
