Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Metroline implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform for the UK subsidiary of ComfortDelGro, consolidating transactional finance and payroll processing for the London operating unit. Metroline Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial was positioned to support core finance and HR business functions while extending into fleet and operational records management. The implementation covered Oracle EBS R12 Financials including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets, along with modules for fleet management, inventory, payroll, purchasing, recruitment and time recording. Configuration work emphasized sub-ledger reconciliation controls and transactional workflows across payables, payroll and purchasing, with Oracle SQL used to develop key finance and payroll reports. Operational integrations and interfaces were a focus of ongoing support, with the team troubleshooting interface and sub-ledger reconciliation errors and coordinating service requests with Oracle and other external suppliers. Reporting and analytics workflows integrated Oracle E-Business Suite outputs with QlikView and Excel for expenditure analysis, intercompany transactions, monthly KPIs and bespoke payroll reports. Governance was structured through a small applications team led by an Applications Support Manager who liaised with Finance, HR and IT stakeholders, provided training for onboarding and staff development, and managed supplier relationships. Quality assurance and control processes included documented regression tests for major patches and updates, and the team managed and resolved audit reviews and associated actions relating to patching, security and compliance.
