In 2015, Metrolink implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment targeted Oracle E-Business Suite R12 to centralize core finance functions for the Greater Los Angeles Area commuter rail operator with approximately 250 employees and $40 million in revenue.
The implementation focused on standard ERP Financial capabilities, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and procurement-related financial controls. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts design, transaction workflow rules, period close sequencing, and role based security consistent with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 best practices.
Operational coverage concentrated on finance, accounting, and procurement teams, with the Oracle E-Business Suite System Manager role and an Oracle Functional Lead documented as part of the program. Those roles indicate ongoing application administration, functional configuration, test coordination, and post go-live support responsibilities being assigned internally to maintain system configuration and user access.
Governance activities aligned to the ERP Financial rollout included structured functional ownership, formalized change control for configuration updates, and phased cutover coordination under the Oracle Functional Lead and System Manager. The narrative of the implementation reflects an enterprise ERP Financial deployment with assigned application management roles and standardized financial module configurations.

In 2019 Metrolink implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR solution as part of a broader Oracle Cloud Finance and HCM program. The engagement oversaw the transition from EBS R12 to Cloud Financials, HCM, SCM and Oracle Projects and was managed against an annual $15M budget.
Oracle Cloud HCM was configured to support Core HR workflows and was delivered in a PaaS environment that allowed customer developed and acquired applications to be deployed. Deliverables included detailed Solution Design Documents, requirements gathering workshops, and configuration of HCM functional modules alongside Cloud Financials and Projects.
Integrations were a primary technical focus, with Oracle Cloud HCM connected to Oracle Cloud P2P, Projects, and PPM workstreams, while data migration and interface work linked Oracle to Infor via Infor ION, and to operational systems including Trapeze and the GIS system. The program managed onshore and offshore teams for data migration, customizations and integration testing, and ran workshops with SMEs and product managers to validate data and mappings.
Program governance established project plans and a communication framework for reporting and status, and coordinated multi disciplinary service providers including Accenture, Deloitte, Thales, and IBM. Testing activities, redeveloped P2P business processes between Oracle and Infor, and a defined go live and post go live implementation support plan were executed to complete the rollout.
