In 2020 M&G implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as an ERP Financial solution, replacing Oracle PeopleSoft ERP and initiating a 12 month Oracle Financials Cloud programme. Programme management services were formalized through an Oracle Cloud Financials Programme Director engagement, with delivery executed in partnership with IBM and TCS.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation delivered an end to end finance stack that included General and Sub Ledgers, an Accounting Hub, and reconciliation tooling. The configuration work emphasized core accounting workflows, ledger structures, and reconciliation automation consistent with ERP Financial functional requirements.
Integrations were explicitly scoped to connect Oracle Cloud ERP with Cost Allocation, Budgeting and Forecasting Oracle EPM solutions, Tagetik Group Consolidation, and the Towers Watson IFRS17 engine, establishing a connected group reporting and actuarial reporting chain. The programme outlined dedicated tracks for Data Migration and Cutover, and noted forthcoming roles for Data Migration and Cutover track leads, Training leads, and Financial Accounting SMEs.
Governance was organized around a programme director led delivery model, with multi-vendor coordination between M&G, IBM and TCS to build out delivery team capability and operational workflows. The project was reported to be in full flight and well positioned for success, and the deployment focused on supporting finance and accounting functions including general ledger, group consolidation and IFRS17 reporting.

In 2017 M&G Plc implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR application, replacing Oracle PeopleSoft HCM. The deployment supported centralized HR and pay related guidance and case management activities managed by the HR operations team between February 2017 and December 2020, including confidential employee queries and payroll liaison functions.
Workday HCM was configured to support core employee lifecycle workflows, including day one checks, new starter on-boarding, contract creation and issuance, routine HR and pay related changes, and long service awards processing. The team operated as subject matter experts on Workday absence management and maintained configuration and business process knowledge to support absence workflows, role based access for HR tasks, and ad hoc changes required by recruitment and reward teams.
Operational reporting and analytics were delivered using PowerBI, with MI produced for weekly recruitment calls to identify trends and support audits of the new start process. The implementation environment also operated alongside Oracle PeopleSoft HCM during the transition period, and team members used both systems as part of cross-system processes. The HR operations scope included close coordination with payroll, the risk team for department reviews, and external providers such as the outplacement partner to maintain end to end HR service continuity.
Governance and process ownership emphasized ongoing process improvement, training of new HR staff on Workday HCM, and strict adherence to M&G Plc policies and procedures for HR and pay changes. The team supported audits, worked to tight deadlines, and proactively built relationships with other HR functions to embed Workday HCM into operational workflows and control frameworks.

Microsoft Power BI deployments at M&G included data modeling, scheduled dataset refreshes, role level security, and operational dashboards to surface weekly recruitment MI, absence management analytics, and long service awards reporting. Configuration emphasized HR metrics tied to the employee lifecycle, including day one checks, contract issuance tracking, reference creation, and absence case management.
Integrations were built to ingest HR and payroll source data from Workday and PeopleSoft so HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Reward, and Risk teams could run cohesive analyses in Microsoft Power BI. Reports and dashboards produced in Power BI supported audits and risk reviews, informed weekly recruitment calls, and were extended to collaborative workflows with an external outplacement provider.
Governance centered on process alignment and data stewardship, with subject matter experts on Workday absence defining data definitions and training new staff on reporting procedures. The rollout included iterative process improvement for Workday related processes, day to day support for HR and Payroll queries, and operational controls to meet tight reporting deadlines and audit requirements.
