The Access Group Legacy Access MicrOpay (ex Sage MicrOpay) Payroll HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 MM Electrical Merchandising implemented Access MicrOpay (ex Sage MicrOpay) to manage Payroll across its Australian distribution operations. The deployment supported fortnightly MicrOpay Meridian payroll production and centralized processing for more than 2,000 employees, with system operations anchored at the North Rocks NSW payroll office. Access MicrOpay (ex Sage MicrOpay) was configured to run core payroll processing workflows, pay calculation and payroll runs, annual leave and long service leave accrual reporting, and monthly payroll reporting for the Financial Controller. The configuration also encompassed employee lifecycle transactions such as new starter setup and terminations, and scheduled fortnightly production cycles aligned to the MicrOpay Meridian engine. The implementation integrated with the CONNX Time and Attendance system to ingest hours and attendance data for payroll calculations, and produced recurrence-based reporting that fed finance and payroll reconciliation activities. Operational coverage included a team of five payroll officers collaborating on production, with the role of Payroll Officer explicitly responsible for payroll completion, accrual reporting, and assisting with monthly payroll-related tasks. Governance and process design emphasized team-based processing and segregation of duties across the payroll function, with documented responsibilities for fortnightly production, leave accruals, and monthly financial reporting. The deployment positioned Access MicrOpay as the operational payroll system for payroll and HR adjacent functions within MM Electrical Merchandising.

Markinson Legacy Markinson Unibis ERP Manufacturing ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2019 2019
In 2011 MM Electrical Merchandising implemented Markinson Unibis ERP as its Manufacturing ERP platform. The deployment targeted the organizationwide ERP footprint for a 3000 employee distribution business, aligning core merchandising and manufacturing oriented processes with a single transactional system. The implementation included configuration of core Manufacturing ERP functional areas, focusing on inventory control, purchasing, sales order processing, warehouse management and production planning, alongside financial transaction processing and business process automation. Extensive custom development work addressed unique distribution and manufacturing workflows, with business process configuration driving transactional rules and data models. Technical architecture combined Progress OpenEdge server side development using CHUI and WebSpeed with a LAMP enterprise web layer comprising Linux Apache MySQL PHP, supporting complex rich internet application development and webservices. Integrations were implemented to connect Unibis with multiple third party applications through webservices, enabling transactional exchange and extended interfaces for front end RIA components. Project execution relied on software development consultant resources to deliver UNIBIS customization, RIA interfaces and webservice integration, and to implement configuration and development workstreams. Operational coverage spanned finance, procurement, operations, warehouse and sales functions, with governance centered on controlled development, configuration management and integration testing to align the application with MM Electrical Merchandising business processes.
