In 2023 Monroe County selected Workday Financial Management as its core ERP Financial solution, following an RFP and vendor selection process managed by Avero Advisors. The selection formally replaced the county's SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment and concluded with Workday chosen in February 2023 alongside five specialized vendors. The implementation scope was defined as a combined Financial and Human Resources ERP deployment, with Workday Financial Management designated to deliver core financial modules and HCM capabilities. Avèro conducted a comprehensive ERP environment review that cataloged requirements across Enterprise Asset Management, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Interface Management, Procurement, and Reporting and Analytics to drive configuration decisions. Integrations were explicitly scoped with named vendor connections, Cityworks supporting work orders and asset management, ADP providing tax services, CanAm/Teller handling point of sale, Sherpa supplying budgeting functionality, and Sympro covering treasury operations. Avèro is coordinating interface management and data flows between these systems and Workday Financial Management to enable consolidated reporting and operational continuity. Avero Advisors is operating as the project management office, providing program governance, vendor coordination across six vendors, schedule and risk management, and functional alignment to county policy. The program established standardized interface specifications and a governance forum to manage change requests and resolve cross-vendor functional gaps during the phased rollout. As of March 2025 Avèro is actively managing the implementation phase to transition Monroe County to Workday Financial Management, positioning the county to modernize ERP Financial and HR operations, streamline cross-department processes, and consolidate reporting and analytics into the new platform. Workday Financial Management is the central ERP Financial application in the countywide architecture, integrated with the five complementary vendor systems to form a cohesive enterprise solution.
