The deployment supported end to end payroll processing across Head Office and retail estate without specification of external system integrators. Governance and rollout were led from HR Shared Services, including reshaping processes, identifying risks and producing implementation plans, training and UAT for adjacent HR projects such as a new holiday booking system. Quarterly visits to the Northampton distribution centre maintained alignment with a standalone HR administrator and ensured payroll related administration practices were consistent across sites.

Governance and rollout were coordinated as part of the commerce program, with Astound Commerce providing consultancy and technical delivery during the final stages of the project under lockdown conditions. The combined platform including Zendesk Chat contributed to the reported post go live ecommerce outcomes, where mobile traffic rose 18 percent, bounce rate fell 12 percent, and conversion increased 16 percent, while the chat capability reinforced customer engagement and onsite assistance as part of the end to end commerce architecture.
