In 2016 Moray & Agnew implemented Aderant Expert Case as its Case Management solution to consolidate matter handling across the firm. The decision followed exposure to Aderant’s Case Management demonstrations and built on an existing relationship with Aderant as a user of the comprehensive Expert solution, with Executive Manager Jon Short driving adoption to eliminate replication of data and reporting complications caused by disparate systems.
Aderant Expert Case was deployed as a fully configurable Case Management platform, emphasizing matter management and embedded analytics capability. The implementation leveraged Aderant’s standardized application technology and was noted by the firm as being built on the latest Microsoft platforms, which informed configuration choices around case-centric data models, configurable workflows, and user-facing automation designed to reduce the time and effort fee earners spend managing multiple matters.
The deployment integrated with the firm’s existing Aderant Expert footprint, enabling a unified data model and streamlined reporting across functions that support legal delivery. Operational coverage extended across Moray & Agnew’s six offices, enabling real-time collaboration among fee earners and central teams, and consolidating reporting and matter data previously scattered across separate tools.
Governance and rollout emphasized ease of support and standardization, leveraging the vendor relationship to simplify administration and future updates. Stated outcomes include reduced duplication of data, simplified reporting, improved ability for users to collaborate on matters in real time, and a strategic move toward a more agile culture within the firm.
