In 2022, Morris Care deployed Ascom Ofelia at its Isle Court long term care site in the United Kingdom to enable resident engagement and Task Management. The implementation focused on connecting resident touchpoints with staff task workflows, positioning Ascom Ofelia as the central orchestration layer for alerts and task distribution across the site.
Ascom Ofelia was configured to provide alert orchestration, task allocation, resident engagement flows, and notification routing consistent with Task Management capabilities. Configuration work emphasized workflow templates for common care tasks, escalation routing for unresolved alerts, and role based task assignment to nursing and accommodation staff.
The deployment integrated Amazon Alexa Smart Properties with Ascoms alert and orchestration platform, with Ascom and Amazon communications linking Alexa integration into Ascom Ofelia so voice enabled resident devices function as endpoints for alerts and requests. The Digital Line acted as the implementation partner coordinating system integration and deployment activities at Isle Court.
Governance and rollout were executed at the site level, aligning Ofelia task workflows with existing staff responsibilities and configuring escalation policies for on duty teams. The stated objective was to improve resident connectivity and streamline staff workflows, reflecting vendor communications about the solution announced in 2022.
