In 2022, Mxd implemented Simba Chain as a Blockchain Platform to build a Local Health Alert System, part of a U.S. project funded under a $6.25M NIST supported initiative. The deployment targeted supply chain and public health demand sensing for medical supplies, positioning Simba Chain as the core blockchain-backed ledger for verifiable event capture and privacy preserving credentialing.
The implementation configured Simba Chain to support on chain contact tracing workflows, data analysis pipelines, and demand sensing capabilities, with explicit use of verifiable credentials and zero knowledge proofs to preserve privacy and provenance. Pilot activity and incentive design were reported in 2022, and marketplace style demand sensing functionality is inferred from the program description and the project goal to coordinate medical supply demand.
Architecturally the solution is described as a blockchain backed platform that records verifiable credentials and privacy proofs, enabling provenance and trust across public health and supply chain stakeholders. The project scope was U.S. based and focused on supply chain managers and public health demand sensing use cases rather than enterprise back office functions, with data analysis layered on top of on chain records for situational awareness.
Governance and rollout were conducted as a pilot oriented program in 2022 with incentive design built into the pilot phase, using verifiable credentials and zero knowledge proofs to enforce access controls and data privacy. Simba Chain was selected to build the Local Health Alert System and served as the primary Blockchain Platform for the initiative, with further module usage and broader marketplace integration implied by the program description.
