PSI Software AG Legacy PSIpenta Manufacturing Execution System ERP Services and Operations n/a 2025 2025
In 2025 Nabertherm commissioned PSIpenta from PSI Software AG to deploy combined ERP and Manufacturing Execution System capabilities across its production and service operations. The PSIpenta implementation follows a competitive selection in which PSI prevailed, and it is described as covering the relevant business processes along the value chain with standard functionality and PSI modules. The delivery includes PSIpenta/ERP Order Management version 10 configured for approximately 200 users, with warehouse management, service management, change management, and variant management modules activated. Additional ERP capabilities implemented include enhanced shipping, quality assurance, and the Capable-To-Promise module for delivery date determination. On the shop floor the PSIpenta Manufacturing Execution System is implemented via MES modules for shop floor data acquisition SDA and time and attendance, complemented by integrated cost accounting and a centralized data warehouse. The PSIpenta Industrial Apps SDA Terminal and Employee Self Service are provisioned for mobile device use. Architecturally the deployment links PSIpenta ERP order management to MES SDA and time capture, aligning production order status, resource time recording, and warehouse movements with cost accounting in the data warehouse. Operational coverage is focused on Nabertherms manufacturing, engineering and after-sales service workflows at its Bremen Lilienthal facilities, while the company maintains international sales subsidiaries including locations in China and the USA. Governance and rollout emphasize use of PSIpenta standard processes to minimize customization, with project coordination driven by PSI to map variant control, change management and service processes into the new ERP and Manufacturing Execution System. The program centralizes order orchestration, warehouse and service workflows under a single PSIpenta configuration, changing how manufacturing engineering, shop floor operators and service teams interact with orders and variants. The public announcement states PSI Software AG was selected after an intensive selection process and frames PSIpenta as providing comprehensive modular coverage of Nabertherms value chain. PSIpenta is implemented to serve production, warehouse, service and mobile shop floor needs, with the press release identifying PSI as the competent industry provider and reliable partner.
