Tecsys Legacy Tecsys Elite TMS Transportation Management SCM n/a 2003 2003
In 2003, Nadiscorp Canada implemented Tecsys Elite TMS as a Transportation Management application across its Canadian operations. The deployment targeted three distribution centers in Brampton, Markham and Calgary, using Tecsys Elite TMS to centralize transportation planning and execution across sites. Configuration work emphasized intelligent routing, dynamic rules based shipping and carrier consolidation, with the implementation surfacing a rules engine to drive carrier selection and consolidation logic. The project also implemented automated shipping document generation to streamline outbound documentation and manifest workflows, aligning with standard Transportation Management functional terminology such as routing optimization, rules engine and shipment consolidation. Operational scope covered distribution and logistics functions at the three sites and impacted carrier management, outbound shipping operations and warehouse dispatch workflows. The solution went live in December 2003 and produced immediate transportation cost savings of approximately 12 to 15 percent through optimized routing and automated document generation. Governance centered on centralized rule sets combined with site level configuration to maintain consistent carrier consolidation and shipping rules across the three distribution centers.
