| FIS Global | Legacy | FIS Horizon | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2020 | In 2019 National Capital Bank implemented FIS Horizon core platform to enable asset growth and deliver omnichannel banking products and services to consumers and nonprofit customers. The community bank founded in 1889 operates four branches and initiated the FIS Horizon program to expand product offerings as part of a plan to reach $1 billion in assets. FIS Horizon was configured as the bank's Core Banking engine, provisioning account processing, deposit and loan servicing, payment processing, and treasury management modules. The implementation also enabled advanced e-banking capabilities, new payment options, sales and relationship management functions, and expanded MIS reporting to support broader product and service workflows. The rollout covered retail and commercial banking operations across all branch locations and customer segments including nonprofits, with product and service launches coordinated from central operations. During the COVID-19 pandemic the NCB and FIS teams shifted to virtual meetings and technology-first processes to replace in-person engagement and keep the conversion on schedule. Governance emphasized a coordinated conversion cutover and alternative operational processes to preserve business continuity while aligning sales, treasury, payments, and MIS workflows. The FIS Horizon Core Banking deployment enabled NCB to introduce a range of new products and services and improved the bank's competitive positioning for future growth. |
