In 2017, National Deaf Children's Society implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial platform, replacing Exchequer Accounting. The 250 employee United Kingdom charity led and managed a core implementation team of seven to deliver a consolidated finance system and retire the prior accounting application.
The deployment centered on Infor SunSystems core financial capabilities, with configuration work on general ledger, accounts payable and consolidated financial reporting. Implementation activities included chart of accounts rationalization and controls configuration to support statutory reporting and nonprofit fund accounting requirements.
Infor SunSystems was integrated with SAP Concur expenses and V1 systems to centralize expense capture and ensure ledger posting consistency between expense management and core finance. The integrations focused on aligning transactional records, expense posting and reconciliation to support month end workflows across finance.
Governance and rollout were executed through the seven person project team, establishing role based access controls, revised approval workflows and targeted training for finance staff. The program formalized ownership of AP and expense processes within the finance function and standardized operational workflows across the organisation.
