Blue Link Associates Legacy Blue Link ERP Distribution ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2024 2024
In 2024, Ndc Distributors implemented Blue Link ERP to achieve DSCSA traceability and automate lot and EPCIS scanning for regulatory compliance and improved inventory visibility. The project was deployed to support the Cranbury, New Jersey pharmaceutical wholesaler operations and to align inventory control with upcoming DSCSA deadlines. Blue Link ERP, implemented as a Distribution ERP, was configured for lot level tracking, EPCIS event capture, and automated scanning workflows. The implementation included inventory management and serialized lot capabilities typical of Distribution ERP systems, and Blue Link ERP was instrumented to record EPCIS events during inbound receipt, internal movement, and outbound shipment processes. The deployment integrated a Gateway Checker for EPCIS testing to validate event feeds and trading partner connectivity, and the scanning layer was extended to capture EPCIS and lot data from warehouse scan devices for automated reconciliation. Operational coverage focused on warehouse operations, inventory control, and regulatory compliance functions, enabling structured event exchange to support trading partner interoperability. Governance changes centered on scanning and reconciliation process automation, with a rollout that emphasized DSCSA traceability workflows and testing with the Gateway Checker. The program significantly reduced manual scanning and reconciliation and positioned the firm for DSCSA deadlines and trading partner connectivity.
