In 2010, Neelikon deployed Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial application. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementation centralized core finance and accounting operations for Neelikon, a 200-employee manufacturing firm in India, and served as the transactional backbone for invoicing, tax compliance, fixed assets, and export accounting workflows.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV was configured to support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, fixed assets accounting, and detailed sales invoicing controls. The implementation captured maintenance invoices and fixed assets invoices directly in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, supported creation and posting of debit notes and credit notes, and maintained transaction-level records required for audit and income tax assessment outputs.
Operational integrations and data flows reflected existing operational practice, including use of Excel exports for monthly trade sample reporting and yearly transit sales reconciliation, and coordinated export controls for E-BRC status updates to the finance department. The finance team used Microsoft Dynamics NAV transaction records alongside online import duty payment activity through ICEGATE, and maintained donation records and related annual statements referenced from NAV entries.
Governance and workflow changes focused on tax and compliance controls inside Microsoft Dynamics NAV, with explicit procedures for TDS calculation, TDS payment checking and authorization, and verification of GST details before authorizing sales invoices. Routine operational responsibilities included passing service provider invoices to apply TDS and GST effects, preparing statements for income tax assessments and audits, and using NAV as the authoritative financial ledger for these compliance workflows.

The cloud-hosted Microsoft 365 tenant includes core Collaboration modules, including Exchange Online email, Microsoft Teams for chat and meetings, SharePoint and OneDrive for document storage and document management, and Office apps for content authoring. Neelikon uses Microsoft 365 to support business functions across manufacturing operations, engineering, sales, HR, and corporate administration.
Architecturally the implementation follows a SaaS tenant model with centralized tenant administration, role-based access controls, external sharing policies, and tenant-level compliance controls. Identity and device posture are managed through cloud identity and single sign-on controls, while collaboration workflows are organized around Teams channels and SharePoint sites to govern document lifecycle and cross-functional coordination. Operational scope is company-wide at Neelikon's India sites and focused on document collaboration, internal communications, and content management.
