Sage Intuit QuickBooks Accountant Desktop Sage Intacct ERP Financial ERP BKD 2020 2021
In 2020, Network Partners Group implemented Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial system, working with BKD to replace Intuit QuickBooks Accountant Desktop. The implementation was executed remotely during the COVID period and was scoped to support multi-entity operations, ultimately consolidating financial management across six entities while supporting rapid revenue expansion that grew roughly 175 percent during the transformation period. BKD guided configuration of core financial modules in Sage Intacct including a robust general ledger, a consistent chart of accounts, project accounting, time tracking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, budgeting, and forecasting. The team leveraged Sage Intacct’s flexible dimensions to tag transactions by location, entity and state, employee, project, and department, enabling transactional-level project accounting and automated capture of billable hours to drive weekly invoicing and eliminate manual invoice corrections. The implementation integrated Sage Intacct with Tally for expense tracking and with Microsoft Power BI for visual reporting and executive dashboards, creating a one-stop shop for client lists, payables, and receivables across all entities. Operational coverage included finance, project management and billing functions, and external reporting workflows to auditors and banks, with the system serving as a single source of truth for financials and enabling a consistent monthly close that met deadlines 100 percent of the time. Governance changes included establishing a unified chart of accounts and dimensional tagging strategy to standardize reporting and to support faster forecasting and budget iterations. Outcomes reported by Network Partners Group and BKD include a 70 percent improvement in finance team efficiency, a savings of 24 hours per month on invoicing, zero invoice corrections, the ability to support revenues that increased from approximately 16 million to 44 million with only two added finance personnel, and identification of a profitable new service that supported a twofold increase in anticipated topline revenue using Sage Intacct for project profitability analysis.
