In 2019, Newton Energy Group implemented icCube to provide embedded analytics for its ENELYTIX offering. The deployment positioned icCube within the Analytics and BI category to deliver interactive analytics capabilities directly inside the customer facing product for energy market modeling users in the United States.
The implementation focused on embedded OLAP and reporting capabilities of icCube, including configuration to load large CSV simulation outputs quickly for multidimensional analysis. The solution leveraged icCube features for backup and restore to maintain dataset integrity and included Excel pivot integration to generate Excel ready pivot reports for downstream analysis by customers.
Architecturally, icCube was integrated into ENELYTIX workflows alongside AWS based simulation pipelines, enabling scalable simulation processing in the cloud and rapid ingestion of simulation output into the embedded analytics layer. The data flow emphasized fast CSV ingestion into icCube cubes, interactive OLAP exploration in product workflows, and export pathways to Excel for offline pivot analysis.
Governance centered on embedding analytics into the product experience to enable customer self service exploration of simulation outputs and standardized report exports. Operational controls included automated backup and restore procedures and configuration choices tuned to the simulation output volume, supporting continuous delivery of Excel ready pivot reports while leveraging AWS for simulation scalability.
