In 2016, Nobina Sweden implemented Axis Mobile Surveillance as a platform-level deployment for Emergency Management across its bus network. The implementation delivered onboard surveillance and incident management capabilities focused on public safety across Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
The deployment used Axis onboard cameras, specifically AXIS M31 and P39 series, installed on buses to provide both real-time streaming and recorded video visibility. Observit acted as the integrator, using its Observit BOT management platform to aggregate camera streams and manage recorded footage, enabling centralized monitoring and incident workflows tied to Emergency Management and public safety processes.
Architecturally the solution combined vehicle-mounted networked cameras with an operations-side management layer provided by Observit BOT, supporting live monitoring and retrieval of recorded video for investigations. The configuration enabled controlled remote access for police and emergency responders to view footage, and supported incident management procedures used by Nobina operations and security teams.
The rollout covered operational and safety functions across Nobina’s regional operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, improving situational awareness and enabling remote police access which reduced vandalism and lowered operational costs as reported. Axis Mobile Surveillance, AXIS M31 and P39 series cameras, and the Observit BOT platform together established a continuous video visibility and incident management capability for Nobina’s bus fleet.
