Epicor ERP was configured to capture merchandising artifacts and approvals used by buying teams, including product book updates, sample management and approval submissions such as lab dips, strike off, bulk fabric and trim signoffs, to align range review and post seasonal analysis with financial records.
Operational coverage included the central buying team, the Buyer’s Admin Assistant, merchandising leads, the graphics team and store operations, with Epicor ERP serving as the authoritative system for category-level numbers and price change communications to stores. The deployment model used a centralized Epicor instance to consolidate buying plans and ensure the Epicor system reflected correct numbers per category for trade meetings and range day preparations.
Governance and process restructuring emphasized upstream data control and cross-functional workflows, assigning responsibility for maintaining the product book, presenting trade meeting recommendations and updating buying plans directly into Epicor ERP. The deployment combined Pronto POS with Advanced Warehousing and RF capabilities, reconfiguring inventory and fulfillment workflows to align store POS transactions with warehouse picking and receiving. Configuration work emphasized POS transaction flows, store level inventory controls, RF enabled warehouse processes, and order orchestration modules within Pronto-Xi.
Integration work connected Pronto-Xi and Pronto POS to a new third party logistics provider, establishing RF based handoffs and replenishment flows, and the program included delivery of an integrated web solution by Pronto Software for a new website scheduled in September 2016. Operational coverage explicitly spanned retail stores, central warehousing and the outsourced third party logistics site, impacting store operations, supply chain and e-commerce channels.
Governance and rollout were executed over a roughly six month program, with a concentrated three week POS cutover across stores to limit disruption and staged enablement of Advanced Warehousing and RF at the third party logistics partner.
