In 2021, Normal A/S implemented Sympa Talent Management as its core HR backbone to support high volume hiring and multi country HR compliance across Normal's European retail operations. The deployment established Sympa Talent Management at the center of HR processes for recruitment and onboarding, positioning the application to manage candidate workflows and employment documentation across retail sites and corporate HR teams.
The implementation focused on Talent Management capabilities for recruitment lifecycle management, onboarding automation, electronic contract signing and localized compliance features. Integrations were established with Teamtailor for recruitment sourcing and applicant tracking, and with Scrive for electronic contract execution, enabling linked candidate-to-hire workflows and a continuous recruitment to onboarding handoff.
Operationally the project decentralized parts of the hiring process, enabling store managers to initiate recruitment locally while HR retained centralized governance for compliance and policy enforcement across countries. The rollout covered Normal's European retail operations and impacted HR and store management functions, reducing manual HR work and enabling faster local recruitment starts as documented in the case study.

In 2018, Normal A/S deployed TARGIT Decision Suite to establish a centralized Analytics and BI capability across its retail operations. The rollout targeted enterprise reporting and operational decision support for a 1,500 person retailer headquartered in Denmark, with immediate coverage for store operations, merchandising, inventory control, and executive decision makers.
The TARGIT Decision Suite implementation focused on dashboarding, automated reporting, and event alerting to remove manual report creation and data collection. Configuration emphasized role-based access to curated operational views, scheduled distribution of key reports, and automated alerts that surface inventory exceptions, sales trends, and product shelf life issues, enabling managers to prioritize actions on system startup.
Operational coverage extended throughout the organization, with employees across stores and corporate functions accessing up-to-date data when and where it is needed. The Analytics and BI deployment supported product sales monitoring and inventory oversight workflows, and provided decision makers with near real-time visibility to act quickly when situations arise.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical deployment, with leadership guidance to define a BI strategy that limits scope creep and ensures solution usability. Outcomes reported by Normal include simplification of processes, elimination of multi-day manual reporting tasks, faster access to authoritative data, and more agile, responsive decision-making driven by TARGIT Decision Suite and its automatic alerting. Thomsen advised establishing clear BI goals and solution boundaries so the Analytics and BI implementation remains manageable and aligned to company strategy.
