In 2019 North Wales Police deployed cloud-based NICE Investigate, a Case Management solution, to digitise evidence collection and reduce in-person contact. The deployment was initiated in late 2019 across the force in Wales, United Kingdom, with an investigations focus to accelerate digital handling of incoming materials.
The NICE Investigate implementation enabled secure uploads from the public and businesses and delivered faster evidence collection workflows for investigative teams. As a Case Management application the solution centralized investigation-related evidence capture and case documentation, aligning investigative processes with electronic evidence intake capabilities.
Operational integration included streamlined electronic sharing with the Crown Prosecution Service to support charging decision workflows and case progression. The rollout targeted investigations business functions across North Wales Police and changed how officers and staff received, reviewed, and transferred evidential material.
