The implementation configured Salesforce Sales Cloud forecasting, opportunity management, account and contact management, and pipeline reporting to align sales activities with order capture. Workflows and data fields were customized to capture product trend and sourcing feedback from R&D and marketing, and to create forecast records structured for reconciliation with production schedules.
Integrations included a data exchange between Salesforce Sales Cloud and the Flexibake ERP instance to transfer forecast and order-level information for inventory and production planning. Operational coverage encompassed sales, operations and production planning teams, with regular cross-functional coordination involving R&D and marketing at the SKU level.
Governance established a reconciled forecast process where Sales Cloud forecasts were validated against Flexibake records, creating a single source for sales intent while execution and inventory remained within the ERP. The configuration demonstrates a category-aligned use of Salesforce Sales Cloud for a 50 person CPG firm, combining Sales Automation,CRM,Sales Engagement capabilities with ERP-driven production planning.
