Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2012 2012
In 2012, New York City Housing Authority implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial system to centralize core financial processing across the authority. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment addressed financial modules typical of ERP Financial implementations, including general ledger and fixed asset accounting, to support fund accounting and capital project accounting needs tied to public housing operations. The implementation emphasized configuration of financial hierarchies and chart of accounts to align municipal funding streams with operational expense tracking. NYCHA developed a process to integrate MAXIMO with Oracle E-Business Suite, enabling transfer of asset, work order and cost data from maintenance and facilities management into the finance system. The integration relied on structured interfaces to populate fixed asset registers and to post work order costs into financial ledgers, aligning asset management workflows with procurement and accounting processes. Governance for the integration brought finance and asset management stakeholders together to define data mappings, reconciliation cycles and operational controls for ongoing interface maintenance.

IBM Legacy IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, New York City Housing Authority implemented IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management platform. NYCHA manages 700,000 apartments, 1.5 million unique assets, and processes over 100,000 work order transactions a day, a scale that exposed the limits of a 100% paper based maintenance process and manual assignment workflows. The deployment integrated a Mobile Informer custom mobility solution directly inside IBM Maximo, delivering mobile work order management from creation to closing, offline first functionality, automatic data synchronization, photo capture, and tailored user roles and permission settings. IBM Maximo remained the central Enterprise Asset Management system, and Mobile Informer leveraged native Maximo capabilities so the mobile layer operated without additional middleware or new failure points. Architecturally the implementation preserved the standard Maximo infrastructure to ensure scalability and to mitigate load management concerns for very large data sets. Operational coverage extended across field trades and supervisors, enabling field technicians to update and close work orders in real time, and allowing supervisors to assign work remotely from mobile devices. Governance emphasized role based access and a focused training approach to smooth adoption among skilled workers and supervisors. After one year the initiative reported millions of dollars in return on investment, thousands of labor hours saved from reduced manual data entry, improved public relations, and significant reductions in work order processing time, in some cases shortening six month delays to same day service.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft 365 Collaboration Collaboration n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, New York City Housing Authority implemented Microsoft 365. The Microsoft 365 implementation is used on their public website and serves as the organization’s Collaboration platform, supporting both public‑facing content and internal collaboration use cases. The deployment includes core Microsoft 365 capabilities aligned to the Collaboration category, including Exchange Online for email, SharePoint Online for web content and intranet publishing, OneDrive for personal file storage and sync, Microsoft Teams for synchronous collaboration, and Office desktop and web apps for document creation and coauthoring. Microsoft 365 is presented as the central hub for document management, content publishing, and team collaboration. Architecturally the implementation follows a cloud SaaS tenant model with centralized tenant administration and identity and access controls provided by Microsoft identity services. Content governance and compliance features are applied to SharePoint and OneDrive libraries, enabling controlled document lifecycle and publishing workflows that are surfaced on the public nyc.gov website. Operationally this Microsoft 365 deployment impacts enterprise collaboration, communications, and content management functions across the authority, and is governed through tenant level administration, role based access controls, and native Microsoft 365 compliance settings. The narrative emphasizes Microsoft 365 as the Collaboration platform for NYCHA’s web presence and internal collaboration capabilities.
