In 2015, Oberndorfer deployed Allplan Precast for precast fabrication and production planning on the Allianz Stadion Rapid Wien project in Austria, operating within the Precast Apps Category. Oberndorfer used Allplan Precast to produce 880 grandstand elements, 150 stair units and large exterior columns to tight schedules for that stadium contract. The implementation prioritized delivery of precise 3D models and production data to drive fabrication and site assembly workflows.
Allplan Precast was configured to generate element-level 3D models, production information for shop drawings, reinforcement detailing and casting bed layouts, enabling direct handoff to fabrication teams. Production planning workflows were established for sequencing, casting schedule alignment and material provisioning, with model-driven shop documentation used to coordinate plant activities. The workstream emphasized model governance and data exports to support fabrication throughput and assembly sequencing consistent with Precast functional practices.
Operational scope covered precast fabrication, production planning and on-site assembly teams for the Allianz Stadion build, with fabrication executed at Oberndorfer facilities and installation on site in Austria. Governance focused on model validation, production data verification and element traceability to ensure schedule adherence across fabrication and installation. The Allplan Precast deployment supported an approximately eight month production timeline and an approximately seven month assembly timeline, and delivered project outcomes that included reduced energy use by approximately 60 percent and reduced waste by approximately 90 percent.
