In 2016, ONE LDN deployed the Gantner GT7 Terminal as part of a unified access, locker and payment ecosystem, leveraging the Gantner GT7 Terminal within the Time Clock (Hardware) category to centralize entry control and member check-in at its London flagship facility. The implementation supported a single-credential model using the MyWellness Key to provide access through turnstiles, locker control, and linkage to personal training and workout tracking.
The technical implementation combined Gantner access terminals that control turnstiles with a networked electronic locking system for lockers and accompanying locker management software. Configuration included real-time locker status monitoring, programmable automated openings for night-time cleaning staff, a policy to limit locker usage to one locker per member, a rental locker mode, and locker usage statistics for behavioral analysis. The Gantner GT7 Terminal served as the physical access and check-in point within this combined solution.
Integrations were executed with Technogym MyWellness Cloud to connect member credentialing and fitness tracking, and the wider solution was prepared to integrate with the clubs point of sale and club management software to automate locker rental workflows. Operational coverage included front desk operations, membership onboarding, cleaning operations management, and club floor access controls, while networked alarm features were incorporated into the system design.
Gantner provided engineering and technical support and coordinated with other suppliers to realize an end-to-end solution that consolidated access control, locker management and cashless payment functions. Members were educated on operational rules such as the automated midnight locker opening, and locker usage statistics were used to inform future commercial changes, including planned paid locker rentals to be automated via POS and club management system integration.
