In 2023, Ontraport implemented Namely Employee Onboarding. The Onboarding deployment consolidated disparate HR, payroll, and time systems onto Namely to establish a single source of truth for employee data. The project targeted HR and payroll/time functions in the United States and prioritized streamlining new hire workflows, org chart accuracy, and employee self service.
Namely Employee Onboarding was configured to centralize employee records, org charts, and self service profiles, while surfacing manager views for headcount and onboarding status. The implementation used onboarding workflows alongside payroll and time capabilities to reduce manual payroll and PTO administration, and to automate standard onboarding tasks including digital forms, approvals, and status tracking. These module configurations materially aligned HR, payroll, and time data in a single platform for operational consistency.
Operational ownership rested with HR in the United States, with managers gaining direct visibility into onboarding progress and organizational structure, which altered day to day approvals and payroll handoffs. Governance was centered on centralized employee record management and standardized workflows to maintain the single source of truth across HR, payroll, and time functions. The consolidation produced faster onboarding, improved manager visibility, and reduced manual payroll and PTO administration.
