In 2010, Orvis implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to establish a consolidated ERP Financial platform for core finance and supply chain planning. The deployment targeted Oracle Financials and MRP to centralize financial accounting and material requirements planning across the retail and distribution footprint.
Implementation covered configuration of Oracle Financials and MRP, including core general ledger, accounts payable and receivable workflows, cost management, and materials planning capabilities. Oracle E-Business Suite was configured to support transactional finance, purchase-to-pay and plan-to-procure processes, and to provide a single financial record for inventory and manufacturing planning.
The program integrated Oracle E-Business Suite with Manhattan Associates WMOS v2008 for warehouse management, labor management and slotting optimization, creating operational linkages between inventory transactions and financial ledgers. Order management, point of sale and call center applications remained as separate systems, while distribution center operations were directly supported by the Oracle and WMOS connection to ensure inventory accuracy and replenishment orchestration.
Operational governance was organized around distribution center management, with a management team of eight direct reports responsible for daily DC operations and for developing applications to meet ongoing business requirements. Process ownership emphasized finance to warehouse handoffs, inventory valuation controls and application-level change processes to sustain the Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial deployment.

Configuration work emphasized a standardized HR data model, role based security and alignment of record to payroll workflows to reduce reconciliation points between HR and payroll domains.
Integrations were implemented to exchange workforce and recruiting data, specifically linking Ceridian Dayforce HCM with Kronos for time and attendance, AppTrack for staffing workflows, Taleo Perform & Recruit for talent acquisition, and internal self-service and proprietary applications to maintain a single source of truth for employee records. The implementation covered HR, payroll, talent acquisition and store operations teams and centralized transactional HR processes under the Core HR application.
Governance focused on centralized HRIS configuration control, role based access, change management and phased rollout with training to align HR and recruitment workflows to the new system. Ceridian Dayforce HCM was positioned to provide consistent employee lifecycle management across Orvis while consolidating HR operational processes into a governed Core HR environment.
