In 2011, OtterBox implemented Infor M3 Manufacturing ERP to support Finance and Accounting functions. The implementation prioritized reporting and troubleshooting assistance to sustain growing operations and application stability. Prior to this deployment, OtterBox worked with Finance and Supply Chain to support their use of Compiere.
The Infor M3 deployment concentrated on core financial management and warehouse fulfillment capabilities, with configuration to align general ledger, accounts payable and receivable workflows and inventory transaction handling. Jasper Reporting was used to improve Financial Reports and establish repeatable reporting routines. Warehouse process changes included integrating barcode scanners to scan pick tickets and developing custom cycle count processes to simplify fulfillment activities.
Infor M3 was integrated into OtterBoxs internal IT landscape with explicit interfaces to SugarCRM, Tibco, and DemandWare to synchronize order, customer and supply chain data flows. Operational coverage emphasized Finance, Supply Chain and fulfillment teams, with IT and application support providing ongoing reporting development and troubleshooting. The combined configuration, reporting instrumentation and device integration operationalized Manufacturing ERP workflows across commercial and logistics functions.
Governance centered on Finance and Supply Chain ownership of configuration and reporting, with IT maintaining application support and issue resolution. Jasper Reporting improvements to Financial Reports and barcode scanner driven fulfillment simplifications were implemented as part of the Infor M3 program.
