Training also covered safe operation and maintenance of an electronic pallet jack used in the mail center.
The Quadient Neopost IS-6000 was configured to support high volume batching, postage metering, and mailpiece preparation workflows consistent with a Mailing System, and it was operated in tandem with Pitney Bowes USPS mailing machines for postal processing. Operational protocols were established for mail induction, sorting, and carrier preparation, and clerks received machine-level instruction on both Neopost and Pitney Bowes equipment. Shipping workflows were coordinated with UPS and FedEx software to manage parcel shipments from the same mail operations.
Integrations in the environment included operational interoperability between Quadient Neopost IS-6000 outputs and Pitney Bowes USPS hardware, plus linkage to UPS and FedEx shipping software, enabling consolidated mail and parcel dispatch from PAE’s mail center. The implementation covered mailroom and records management functions specifically supporting correspondence processing and biometric resubmission cycles under the USCIS contract. Governance was enforced through daily SOP verification with USCIS Records, embedding procedural controls and role responsibilities into the mailroom workflow.
Training and governance emphasis formalized clerk responsibilities for batching, interfiling, and correspondence handling, with system-level training on Quadient Neopost IS-6000 and adjacent postal hardware. These controls established repeatable mailroom workflows and operational discipline required by the USCIS Records contract.
