In 2015, PayNearMe implemented Cohesive VNS3 Network Platform as its Network Management and Monitoring solution to unify connectivity between a primary AWS region and multiple colocation environments. The deployment in North America was scoped so retail partners and merchant integrations could connect to PayNearMe's infrastructure as a single logical resource supporting payment transaction flows and partner onramps.
Cohesive VNS3 Network Platform was configured to create an encrypted overlay network across cloud and co location sites, using vendor reported AES encryption for tunnel confidentiality. Functional capabilities deployed included overlay tunneling, encrypted transport between sites, routing controls and logical segmentation to isolate partner connections and to support payment processing traffic patterns.
Operational coverage encompassed PayNearMe network operations and partner integration teams, with the platform serving as the central network orchestration point for AWS region to colocation connectivity. Governance emphasis focused on enforcing encrypted overlays and network segmentation to meet elevated security standards for transaction and customer data while providing a single logical network endpoint for merchants and retail partners.
