In 2013 Pearl River County implemented Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise as an ERP Financial application to centralize chancery clerk accounting and county financial recordkeeping. The deployment was focused on the chancery clerk office and county financial workflows, intended to support bookkeeping, accounts payable and payroll record management for county government operations.
The Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise implementation provided core ERP Financial capabilities including a digital record of payments, bill management and payroll functions, consistent with typical configuration patterns for small government finance deployments such as chart of accounts setup, vendor management, transaction ledgers and administrative access controls. Configuration and use were concentrated on day-to-day accounting modules and transaction processing rather than enterprise integration layers.
Operational issues surfaced during the office transition when county IT staff reported that a Quickbooks program instance was erased from the chancery clerk computer and some computer records were lost. County supervisors and the newly seated chancery clerk initiated an independent audit and a Mississippi Attorney General review to reconcile records and assess recordkeeping governance. Pearl River County officials are awaiting the results of those investigations to determine next steps for records remediation and financial governance.

In 2018 Pearl River County implemented Esri Arcgis as a Geographic Information System on its public website. The Esri Arcgis deployment is surfaced on the county website to provide interactive maps and spatial information to residents and county staff.
The implementation emphasizes web mapping capabilities common to Geographic Information System platforms, including hosted map services, layered geospatial datasets, spatial queries, and embedded web maps for public consumption. Configuration work focused on publishing authoritative map layers, basemap management, and enabling map viewers and simple analytic interactions consistent with county GIS workflows.
Operational coverage includes the public-facing county website and internal access for departments that require spatial context, such as planning, public works, and emergency services, supporting business functions like land records visualization and asset location. The deployment of Esri Arcgis supports cross-departmental use of geospatial data and standard GIS processes for data publication and map maintenance.
Governance for the implementation centers on centralized data stewardship, scheduled publishing of authoritative layers to the site, and controlled updates to maintain spatial accuracy and usability. The Esri Arcgis implementation aligns Pearl River County with typical Geographic Information System practices for local government web mapping and spatial data management.
