Enertia Software Legacy Enertia Oil Gas and Chemicals ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Penn Virginia implemented Enertia as its Oil Gas and Chemicals ERP to centralize production accounting and volumetric workflows. The Enertia implementation concentrated on the Production module, with a designated super user role responsible for conversion activities and ongoing configuration governance. The implementation included hands on Production Module Implementation and configuration, development of specifications and testing for business intelligence applications used for run ticket reconciliation, missing data detection, and production trend analysis. The Enertia Production module was configured to manage daily and monthly volume allocation networks for oil, condensate, natural gas, NGL and water, with allocation rules and validation logic defined within the application. Operational coverage extended to state and federal production reporting and bespoke reporting for a combined SWD water treatment facility in South Texas, reflecting region specific regulatory and operational requirements. The program provided volumetric support to Operations, Revenue Accounting, Reservoir Engineering and Land, and leveraged experience across Eagle Ford Shale, Cotton Valley, Marcellus and the Appalachian Basin to inform configuration and reporting standards. Implementation and ongoing maintenance included Field Data Capture FDC and SCADA system interfaces for production telemetry and ticketing data. Governance was centered on a super user model and a small production accounting team, with responsibilities to supervise and train Production Accounting employees, maintain allocation networks in Enertia, and validate daily and monthly reconciliation workflows. Process ownership emphasized operational handoffs between field data ingestion, production allocation in Enertia, and downstream reporting to regulatory and commercial stakeholders.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2014 2018
In 2014, Penn Virginia implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) as its Analytics and BI platform. The deployment established a centralized reporting and analytical layer to support the company’s oil and gas reporting and corporate analytics needs, using Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) as the primary toolset. Implementation work included SQL Server 2012 SSIS and SSRS development alongside MS SQL 2008 and 2012 DBA support, which created ETL workflows, scheduled SSIS packages, and production SSRS report deployments. SSAS cubes and SQL Server Reporting Services were configured to enable dimensional reporting, operational reports, and governed data models. The Microsoft BI environment was integrated with Enertia ERP and the MS SQL 2008 and 2012 database tier so relational ERP sources could feed analytical models and reports. Solarwinds Database Performance Analyzer v9 was installed for database performance monitoring and administration, and Spotfire 6.5.1 was installed and administered as an additional visualization and analytics client. Operational ownership centered on DBA administration, SSIS and SSRS development, and ongoing application administration and support. Governance focused on managed ETL schedules, report lifecycle administration, and database performance monitoring to sustain the Analytics and BI environment.
