In 2012 Percolate implemented Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise as an ERP Financial solution to develop and operationalize a new general ledger system. The initiative was scoped to develop requirements, design the GL, and implement accounting controls and ledger structures to replace an ad hoc Quickbooks setup and standardize core financial workflows.
Implementation work concentrated on configuring the general ledger and redesigning the chart of accounts, establishing journal entry controls, and automating routine month end close tasks consistent with ERP Financial capabilities. Functional capabilities delivered included the GL ledger, configurable chart of accounts, journal posting workflows, financial reporting templates, and audit trail functionality within Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise.
Operational coverage targeted the finance and accounting organization, with configuration scoped for company level chart of accounts, period close procedures, and intercompany posting rules where applicable. The program used requirements workshops and process mapping to align accounting processes to Quickbooks Enterprise workflows, followed by iterative testing to validate financial reports and reconciliations.
Governance and rollout emphasized formal requirements documentation, role based access controls and segregation of duties settings, user acceptance testing, and a staged go live. Training and process documentation were delivered to finance staff to support ongoing GL maintenance in Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise and to institutionalize standardized accounting processes across Percolate's finance organization.
