In 2015, permanent tsb implemented Infor SunSystems to centralize core financial accounting and reporting. Infor SunSystems was adopted as the bank's ERP Financial platform and serves as the primary general ledger and fixed assets system supporting month-end and statutory workflows.
Implementation scope covered General Ledger processing, fixed assets register management, month-end journal posting, balance sheet substantiation and FINREP support, reflecting activities performed by Treasury Accounting, Financial Accounting and Business Efficiency teams. Configuration work emphasized control around accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and the preparation of notes for interim and statutory financial accounts, aligning operational bookkeeping with regulatory reporting requirements.
Operational integrations included direct use of General Ledger outputs from Infor SunSystems to feed the bank's Hyperion budgeting and reporting routines, enabling the Business Efficiency team to extract transactions for cost reporting and budget reconciliation. The deployment supported Retail finance reporting and cost reporting for IT, HR, Payments and Fraud business areas within the Irish finance organization.
Governance and process changes documented in the implementation included strengthened month-end controls, an internal control framework champion role, and targeted reconciliation projects. Notable explicit outcomes from system use include consolidation and reconciliation of the fixed assets register reflecting c. €200m of assets, and process work supporting reconciliation of customer account balances with liabilities approximating c. €17bn.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 permanent tsb implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM in the Core HR category to centralize HR transactional and workforce administration for the bank. The Oracle PeopleSoft HCM deployment established a foundation for HR self service and manager self service capabilities that began rolling out in 2014 and continued as an operational program.
The implementation encompassed functional modules and configurations for manager dashboards, leave approval workflows, illness return tracking, and HR Portal services delivered in 2014. Subsequent functional additions included an HR Query Log and an HR Metrics pack introduced in 2015, and a Performance Management collation system built on SharePoint 2013, reflecting an architecture that combined PeopleSoft Core HR with complementary collaboration tooling. Security management, user setup and configuration, end user training, and application troubleshooting were managed as part of the PeopleSoft administration scope.
Operationally the program was governed by a dedicated HRIS team managed within Group HR, with contingent workers engaged for project delivery and software development. Permanent tsb managed internal relationships with IT and in-house software providers and maintained vendor engagement with Core International, SAP SuccessFactors, Client Solutions, and Oracle as part of application lifecycle activities. MIS reporting from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM supplied scheduled and ad hoc HR reports and analytics to HR, senior management, risk, finance, the board, and external stakeholders including the Department of Finance, Central Bank, and ECB, using data analytic tools for HR data and forward looking projections.
Programme governance included ongoing rollout and operational ownership by the HRIS function, responsibilities for absence management, performance review processes, recruitment and training of HRIS staff, budget oversight, and operational risk and compliance for the team. An upgrade and migration to the Cloud of the Core HR software suite occurred in 2015 as a planned phase of the broader PeopleSoft program, while ongoing manager self service and portal enhancements continued under the managed HR Applications Development remit.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Cognos Business Intelligence | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013 Permanent TSB implemented IBM Cognos Business Intelligence, deploying Cognos FSR to automate statutory reporting workflows for the annual report. The implementation began in May 2013 following a procurement process and was delivered with local support from IBM Cognos partner ProStrategy. The deployment targeted the Group financial reporting and accounting teams, a 13 person team responsible for annual and group reporting, and addressed an in‑house reporting system that had reached end of support.
IBM Cognos Business Intelligence was configured to run Cognos FSR, since renamed Cognos Disclosure Management, to deliver automated data gathering, template driven disclosure assembly, and variable driven replication of financial figures. The implementation leveraged the variable function to define figures such as Net Interest Margin once and propagate them across multiple sections of the annual report, creating a single source for repeated values and reducing manual reconciliation. This configuration aligns with Analytics and BI capabilities for controlled report generation and consolidated disclosure outputs.
Operational coverage is centered on statutory reporting and the annual report production cycle, with Cognos Disclosure Management embedded into accounting and financial reporting workflows. Automated collection of report inputs into Cognos templates reduced manual aggregation within the disclosure process, and the solution is operated by the financial reporting and accounting teams who author and publish the annual disclosures.
Governance was tightened through centralized templates and variable driven rules that enforce consistency of figures across the report, improving control points around repeated metrics. Permanent TSB reported time savings, improved control and enhanced risk management as explicit outcomes, and the financial reporting team gave a positive response to the Cognos functionality. IBM Cognos Business Intelligence remains in use as the Group's Analytics and BI disclosure and reporting platform.
