Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to support core financials, with explicit functional coverage of accounts payable for national and international expenses, management of two cash accounts, prepaid expense tracking for both corporate and retail, and systematic expense allocations to retail and promotional initiatives. The accounting team used Business Central workflows to administer the company credit card program for 35 employees, to manage donation program documentation to an audit ready standard, and to maintain income statement account accuracy through established review processes.
Operational scope included corporate accounting, retail finance, and Peru office transactions and reconciliation, with the accounting group designing state sales tax procedures and processes for 45 states to ensure alignment and timely monthly tax filings. The implementation anchored month end close responsibilities within Business Central, covering cash reconciliation, prepaid expense accounting, interoffice transaction handling, and expense allocation workflows across sites.
Governance and rollout activities included building and executing conversion test programs as part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central conversion team, defining month end close accountabilities, and embedding procedures for tax filing and audit ready documentation.
