In 2017 PFD Food Services implemented PageUp ATS, deploying the PageUp Applicant Tracking System on its public careers site to centralize candidate intake and on boarding workflows. The implementation was led from the Recruitment, Remuneration and Benefits function and aligned with the company’s HR sourcing and talent activities that support a 2,800 employee client base and 60 plus branches nationally.
Configuration and implementation concentrated on the recruitment and on boarding modules of PageUp ATS, with explicit responsibility assigned to the Recruitment, Remuneration and Benefits Manager. Functional capabilities implemented reflected standard Applicant Tracking System workflows, including careers site application intake, applicant tracking and pipeline management, candidate screening rules, interview coordination and the orchestration of on boarding steps.
Operational ownership and governance were maintained by a compact HR structure, comprising one Talent Advisor and five HR Business Partners who managed state and business unit recruitment execution and system administration. The PageUp ATS served as the primary Applicant Tracking System for PFD Food Services, instrumenting recruitment and on boarding processes while interfacing with broader HR governance such as employee relations, annual salary review coordination and remuneration oversight managed by the HR leadership team.

In 2013, PFD Food Services implemented QAD Adaptive ERP (ex MFG/PRO) as its Manufacturing ERP for warehousing and distribution operations in Australia. The implementation was sized to support a 3,000 employee distribution business with reported revenue of 620000000, and the deployment focused on inventory control and operational compliance across site-level warehouse functions.
The QAD Adaptive ERP (ex MFG/PRO) rollout configured core Manufacturing ERP capabilities, including inventory management and stock control workflows such as stocktake and cycle counts, warehouse management capabilities, procurement and supplier relationship processes, and compliance-oriented functionality to support HACCP and OH&S practices. Configuration emphasized transactional controls for receipts, issues, and inventory traceability while aligning system behavior to established MFG PRO procedures and functionality used by warehouse staff.
Operational coverage centered on stock control teams and site warehouse personnel, reflecting job-level requirements such as high risk forklift licence, Certificate III in Warehousing, and strong product and warehouse process knowledge. The implementation supported role-driven operational processes for receiving, putaway, picking and stock reconciliation, with reporting and data extraction practices compatible with intermediate Microsoft Office skills used by operational analysts and supervisors.
Governance and process changes included formalized cycle count and stocktake procedures, role-based access tailored to stock controller responsibilities, and procedural alignment with supplier relationship management and safety compliance. Training and onboarding emphasized MFG Pro procedures, analytical skills for inventory governance, and adherence to OH&S and HACCP controls for ongoing operational compliance.
